Job description
The Pilates Instructor provides age appropriate exercise services including fitness assessments, member orientation, individual and group exercise classes, and individual and group personal training sessions. The PRN/PT Personal Trainer assists with program development and marketing.

The Pilates Instructor job duties also include, but are not limited to:
- Administers age appropriate exercise readiness assessments and documents significant findings, goals and exercise plan.
- Reassesses participant appropriately and modifies the fitness program as indicated.
- Instructs participant selecting appropriate teaching method; presenting information to individual to reduce risk of injury; observing participant's behavior to determine comprehension of information presented; and modifying teaching techniques based on need.
- Directs and supervises the activities of individual or group fitness members.
- Performs administrative duties including follow up phone calls, calendar updates, and facility counts.
- Participates in hospital related activities to enhance personal and professional growth, strengthen capabilities of team members, and assist with orientation.
- Participates in the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives for health promotions.
- Provides input into the development and implementation of the strategic/marketing plan for health promotions.
- Supports the strategic/marketing plan through participation in activities/events identified by health promotions as high priority.
- Provides supervision and education to participants requesting personal or group training.
- Exhibits good guest relations to participant, visitors, physicians, co-workers, students, and volunteers. Projects a positive image in all interactions.
- Assures continued professional development through attendance at continuing education and professional conferences.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures including infection control, safety, and administrative.
